On 4 March 2004, Jordy (Jordan) was born into a loving family, including parents Rob and Vanita and siblings Mitchell and Lulu.

Jordy lived with his family in Forestville, attending the local special needs school.

As a young child, Jordy was diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome, a disorder which severely impacts a child’s intellectual and physical abilities over time.

By age 11, Jordy was no longer able to walk or eat orally (a source of great enjoyment). Instead he had to use a wheelchair and be tube-fed.

Jordy was a regular respite visitor at Trilogy Disability’s Koolang Cottage on the Central Coast.

Eventually, as his body became that of a man and he was hard for the family to manage, Jordy spent his last years with us at Koolang.

Jordy was much loved by our staff and by his family, who visited each weekend. Between us all, we learnt that Jordan had been put on this earth a short time but a great time.

Jordy’s favourite time was having cuddles with his family and dancing to The Wiggles in his chair.

He enjoyed going to the swimming pool and being pushed around the ice rink in his chair.

Jordy loved people-watching at the local shopping centre, or going to the local football match, where he would clap his hands – a big smile on his face.

Although Jordy’s life was taken too early, he fought and fought to stay on this planet. He brought us all so much joy and the lessons he taught us will be forever in our hearts.

At Jordy’s place we want to bring the same fulfillment and Joy as Jordon did for us.

Fly high Jordy and look over your place.
